Tiger Woods stars in Nike ad released after Masters win

Those "Tiger Roars" that had started on Thursday were louder than ever Sunday afternoon as Tiger Woods marched his way to his fifth Masters title and 15th major championship.

Back in the winners' circle at The Masters, after a 14-year gap, over $2m richer and up to number six in the world, Woods stressed that his highlight was celebrating the day with his children.

The world's leading players lined up to pay tribute to Woods as he donned a Green Jacket for a fifth time.

Nicklaus also spoke to the Golf Channel on Sunday, comparing the 43-year-old Woods' victory to his own as a 46-year-old in 1986, and making clear he doesn't think his record is safe.

"I am literally in tears watching @TigerWoods this is Greatness like no other", tweeted 23-time Grand Slam tennis champion Serena Williams. "He's got me shaking in my boots!"

It has already been coined by many as the greatest sporting comeback of them all - a journey that has included career-saving spinal fusion surgery and a tumultuous series of personal problems that threatened to bring an end to the career of a golfing icon.

Green Jacket Auctions sold a backup Scotty Cameron Newport Teryllium Tel3 earlier this year for $22,784.04; it is the same model Woods used in his first win at the Masters in 1997.

The victory marked Woods 15 major chapionship and his first since winning the 2008 U.S. Open at the Torrey Pines golf course in San Diego.

He tapped in for bogey and a 2-under 70, and the celebration was on.

As the ball went in, the crowd erupted into applause and chants of "TIGER!"

"I had serious doubts after what transpired a couple years ago", said Woods.

"I couldn't lay down, I couldn't do much of anything". "This tournament has meant so much to me and to have everyone here means so much to me and my family".

By contrast, there has only ever been one hole-in-one at the fourth, by Jeff Sluman in 1992. In maybe his greatest feat yet, Tiger climbed the biggest mountain at a time and an age when most are hanging out at base camp. Fenway Park posted the news on the scoreboard. Whether he can dominate it again is still to be determined.

"It's great to see Tiger back".

"Last year I was just very lucky to be playing again".

"You couldn't have had more drama than we all had out there", Woods said.

"And now I know why I'm balding". "This stuff is hard".

The advertisement featured Woods at various stages of his golf career.

Now the comeback is truly complete. "I am so happy for him and for the game of golf. This is just fantastic!"

The question now is whether Woods can catch up with Jack Nicklaus' record of 18 majors.

"I'll tell him I was there when Tiger won his 15th major in the final group", Finau said.

It was two years ago at the Masters when Woods said he needed a nerve block just to walk to the Champions Dinner. "Even the one on 12, I hit it exactly where I wanted to and the wind can kind of make you look stupid on that hole".
