Duke and Duchess of Sussex launch their own Instagram account

As you may already know, the former Suits star deleted all of her personal social media accounts before officially becoming a Duchess a year ago.

Within a few hours the newest account had more than 400,000 followers and followed just 21 pages, among them the three existing Royal accounts.

The royal couple released a statement for their very first post, writing, 'Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues.

The included the couple watching a sailing competition at the Invictus Games in Sydney, Meghan embracing women at the launch of a charity cookbook for those affected by the Grenfell Tower Fire, and meeting fans on Australia's Fraser Island.

We can't help but point out that this new social media account really came just in time, as the happy couple is expecting their first child together this month!

Sussex Royal also follows the Invictus Games 2020, of which Prince Harry is patron, and the Royal Marines.

It is expected that a Twitter account will be created for the Duke and Duchess.

Prince Charles, aka Prince Harry and Prince William's dad, has been coming through with the good advice for Harry and Meghan Markle lately.

The account went live on Tuesday.

The account already has nearly 800,000 followers and this is set to climb quickly. The move has further showcased Meghan and Harry's independence from other royals following their split from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Kensington Palace.
