Despite the massive mound of salt produced by that last statement, this week's Nindies Showcase blew the rumor mill clean off its foundation with the news Cuphead would be running 'n gunning on the Nintendo Switch as soon as next month.

Cuphead is coming to another popular platform very soon! While it may have been easy to get swept up in the news of Cuphead finally making its way to the popular portable console, another game caught the attention of many gamers everywhere. There's also a dog-sledding game called The Red Lantern and oh how I want to play it!

Microsoft and StudioMDHR have confirmed that they are working together to bring Xbox Live features to the Switch version too.

The game was announced moments ago during Nintendo's Nindies showcase, and is now in development at Brace Yourself Games.

An Xbox.com update reads, "Growing out of these recent discussions, we are partnering with StudioMDHR to investigate bringing Xbox Live features beyond Xbox and PC to Nintendo Switch". Interestingly, Nintendno announced "Cuphead" will have Xbox Live support, too. We'd like to thank Studio MDHR and Nintendo for their help in this investigation!

An Xbox One exclusive now on Switch, what a world. In addition, Cuphead has been recognized with a wide range of awards including the 2017 Annie Award for Special Achievement in Animation, and Best Art Direction, Best Independent Game and Best Debut Game at The Game Awards 2017.

Even more surprising is the fact that Cuphead's release is right around the corner.
