'Game of Thrones' Season 8 Trailer: The End Is Here

Unfortunately, one Game of Thrones star said filming the final battle was "really miserable". In an episode of the season, we will be seeing the Night King army facing off against the land of the living to decide the fate of all of Westeros. Shots of an equally terrified Varys speak to the dire nature of the situation.

Other subplots included in this first trailer are the ongoing split between Queen Cersei and her brother Jaime (who pledges to "fight for the living"), Daenerys and her army marching to Winterfell, Gendry preparing for battle and the return of the Night King's ice dragon.

"Nothing can prepare you for how physically draining it is", said Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, while on set previous year. You excited for this? I keep thinking: "'Whose story am I telling right now?'", he said.

Just last week, fans thought a new poster, featuring Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington), teased his fate due to the character posing in a similar pose to Ned Stark (played by Sean Bean), who died in season one.

With the almighty HBO show coming to an end this year, fans have gotten their first proper glimpse at what they can expect as the fight for the Iron Throne comes to a head.

Co-executive producer Bryan Cogman spoke about the epic battle scene, calling it unprecedented for TV or film. [Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss wrote] an wonderful puzzle and Miguel came in and took it apart and put it together again.

Talking about her journey on Game of Thrones, Lean confirms that the show indeed helped her achieve global recognition and fame.

While this story doesn't contain direct spoilers, those who want to know nothing about GoT Season 8 should turn away now. But HBO are clearly reluctant to show us what's pursuing the Stark assassin, as they've expertly blacked out whatever's giving chase. Let us know in the Comments section below.

That will happen on April 14th on HBO, and we can't wait for what will likely be the television event of the year. There is no version where everybody says, "I have to admit, I agree with every other person on the planet that this is the flawless way to do this" - that's an impossible reality that doesn't exist.
