Like previous year, more of Amazon's Echo smart speakers will no doubt feature in its Black Friday sale, which will see thousands of deals across consumer electronics. The Amazon help page explains that delivery will take five-to-eight working days and then only after all the items in your order are available, including pre-ordered products.
Target also announced it would offer, for the first time, two-day shipping, with no minimum purchase this holiday. For instance, Amazon's non-Prime free shipping program includes hundreds of millions of items, far more than Walmart's entire online selection of over 75 million. Sure you could just pay for shipping like a savage, but this holiday season Amazon's got an even better idea, as it offers free shipping with no minimum purchase requirement. Also mentioned was the previous free-delivery threshold on orders larger than $25.
This is the first time Amazon is offering such an offer, though the company had free shipping for orders over $25 previous year. With this move, Amazon is forgoing numerous fees it would normally collect to offset shipping costs.
Amazon already offered free 2-day shipping to Amazon Prime subscribers, which is why Target made free 2-day shipping for its customers. The company expects sales for the fourth quarter to be between $66.5 billion and $72.5 billion.
About $720 billion in sales are up for grabs for the Black Friday shopping weekend, according to the National Retail Federation.
More than 3 million items will eligible for same-day delivery during the holiday season, if you're a prime member.
This offer applies to hundreds of millions of items, and it'll work on orders that will arrive in time for Christmas.
