Russian Federation has proof U.S. was behind drone attack on Syria base

"Thirteen drones moved according to common combat battle deployment, operated by a single crew".

Separately, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin said at a plenary session of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum on security Thursday the drones that attacked Russia's Hmeimim airbase in Syria were operated from the US Poseidon-8 reconnaissance plane.

The drones were not controlled by some "sort of peasant, but a proper Poseidon-8 equipped with modern manually steered the drones", Fomin added. "He took over manual control", - said the Deputy Minister.

A Pentagon spokesman at the time said that "any suggestion that USA or coalition forces played a role in an attack on a Russian base is without any basis in fact and is utterly irresponsible".

Russia's deputy defense minister has accused the US of coordinating a drone attack on Moscow's Khmeimim airbase in Syria earlier this year. It noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin may raise the issue with his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump in their meeting next month in France.

"This is very alarming data, of course, and no one here should have any doubt that an appropriate analysis will be carried out by our military and appropriate conclusions will be made", Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted by Russian media as saying. The two leaders are expected to meet in Paris on November 11. Meanwhile, the defense Ministry stressed that the solutions used by militants, could be obtained only from technologically advanced countries and warned of the danger of recurrence of such attacks in any country of the world.
