This shocking video shows how a woman led police on a high-speed auto chase which ended in a crash, then attempted to hijack another vehicle while carrying a baby.
Police separated the woman from her child after placing her under arrest.
The footage was released on Friday by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A woman in Texas took off from police and led them on a 100 miles per hour chase with a baby in the back seat of the vehicle.
Rodriguez then exited her auto and ran around to the passenger rear door and took out the baby in its vehicle seat.
Troopers pulled Rodriguez out of the vehicle and restrained her. The woman driving the SUV had her own child in the vehicle.
With the vehicle seat on her arm, Rodriguez dashed across several lanes of the busy highway and hopped into a Nissan Xterra that she tried carjacking.
According to Fox News, a female motorist who has not been publicly identified began by leading police in a pursuit that resulted in a crash. At some points during the June 15 chase, she was speeding over 100 miles per hour.

Authorities eventually were able to arrest the woman, who local media says was charged with child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance and evading arrest.
Child Protective Services have taken the infant into care, reports ABCNews.
