Since inking his four-year, $153 million deal to join the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this month in free agency, he has yet to truly address the move in any extended capacity.

LAS VEGAS- The oldest son of LeBron James is already a star. "He went to Akron public schools". "It was so real and so candid; no one had a sense of, well I can't be myself here".

Now that's how you start a new school year. Corresponding pairs will be sold by Upper Deck and proceeds will help fund the school and the foundation.

In a video he released Sunday on his "Uninterrupted" Facebook page, James spoke about the connection he feels to the children of northeast OH, and the pride he feels in opening this school.

"I know these kids basically more than they know themselves". James added that The Shop was partly inspired by his experience as a kid listening to adults in barbershops "talk about sports, clothing, politics, music" and everything else. Along with an opportunity at a proper education, students will also be treated to a special display when they first walk in that honors the school's founder in a very fitting way. I went through the same emotions, the good, the bad, the adversity.

While James takes pride in his charitable endeavors and his business interests, he also made it very clear that he is excited to come play for the Lakers "historic franchise" and get the team back to their wining ways.

James and Durant's Golden State Warriors battled it out in the past two NBA Finals, and now they will duel for Western Conference supremacy with the Dubs having a healthy leg up on the new-look Lakers out of the gate. "And for it all to come to fruition at this point, I think timing is everything". This is where I have on one hand, my school which I'm blown away by.
