Google Pixel 3 XL leak shows the rumoured 2018 Android heavyweight

With the Pixel 3, Google is ditching the famous two-tone black-and-white "panda" color scheme for the device.

If you were a fan of the black and white (panda) Google Pixel 2 XL from a year ago, it unfortunately doesn't look like Google will be bringing back the design with the Pixel 3 XL.

Today we're seeing live pictures of a white Pixel 3 XL.

The Pixel series is expected to be introduced to wireless charging this year and Google has planned something ingenious for it if the leaks are to be unveiled.

The backside also has an arrangement of metal and glass that's advanced beyond what's come before. The last Google phone to offer wireless charging out of the box was the 2016 Nexus 6. Among the features it's said to include is seamless Google Assistant integration. No, Google is also planning on releasing a new smart, wireless charger - something it's calling the Pixel Stand. "Your Assistant can use your personal info to make suggestions, answer questions, and take actions for you when your phone is locked and on your Pixel Stand", reads the patch notes. Codes in the latest version of the Google App suggest that the dock will need to be given access to the device while charging, thus marking the dock as a "Trusted Device". We're still two months out so expect to see more leaks in that period. However, there's a still a lot of time before that happens and Google can choose to ditch the accessory completely. Just like with the leaked images of the black Pixel 3 XL, it appears as though the back of the handset is made out of glass and the lower two-thirds of the design is covered in a plastic-like material to provide grip.
