If there's one noticeable difference from the Mi 6X, it's that there's an extra storage option at 32GB. They also support Google's Android One platform, which offers a stock Android 8.1 Oreo OS, monthly security updates, and the promise of faster feature updates thanks to Project Treble. The Xiaomi Mi A2 has a front glass design and an aluminum body. Whereas, the Mi A1 has a 1920 x 1080 px IPS LCD panel.

The Mi A2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, which is an excellent midrange performer. Whereas, the Mi A1 had the Snapdragon 625 with the Adreno 506 GPU.

The rear dual camera system features a 12-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensor working in tandem. On the front, the smartphone carries a 20 MP f/1.8 camera which can record Full HD videos. Xiaomi's AI Beautify 4.0 technology is also part of the package here, together with a 5500K LED flash and a 5megapixel front camera mounted behind an f/2.0 lens. It is powered by a 3,010mAh battery. Coming to the Mi Electric Toothbrush, as the name suggests, it is a smart toothbrush with 31,000 vibrations per minute for high cleaning power accompanied with rounded bristles, IPX 7 water resistance rating and a charge that last for 18 days.

Even though the Mi A1 did really well, especially in the Indian market, many complained that the smartphone was slightly on the expensive side. Following the success of its Mi A1, the new Mi A2 offers significant upgrades while the Mi A2 Lite brings great mid-range performance in an entry-level package. Entry-level, because, the price of the Mi A2 could be under the Rs. 15,000 price bracket. As for how much the devices will cost, the Xiaomi Mi A2 will be priced at $290 for the 4/32GB configuration, $325 for the 4/64GB configuration and $408 for the 6/128GB configuration. Mi A2 Lite packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, with support for expandable storage up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. The teaser also hinted at a feature that will allow users to change focus between background and foreground, depending on your preference. When it comes to RAM and storage, you can choose from a combination of 4 GB RAM/32GB storage (€249), 4 GB RAM/64GB storage (€279), and 6GB RAM/128GB storage (€349). The Mi A2 will go on sale in Spain starting 10th August, in France on 27th July, and in Italy and India on 8h August. Xiaomi Mi A2 will be available in three colour option - Blue, Black, and Gold. The company has also emphasized the AI capabilities of both the smartphones through the launch.
