The Rock will give away $300K prize on HQ Trivia

Speaking with Yahoo Movies, Johnson revealed of the film: "The script came in, it's great, we're working on it. The archenemy of the original Captain Marvel (not the Brie Larson kind but the Zachary Levi as Shazam kind), Black Adam was later set up to lead his own blockbuster film under Warner Bros.' New Line Cinema production label, but things have been quiet on the whole "when the movie will start shooting?" and "when might it hit theaters?" fronts". Up until a year ago, it was believed that Johnson would play the antagonist in David F. Sandberg's Shazam! film, which is slated to release in 2019.

If they can pull that off, fans should be happy.

Just a heads-up for anyone planning on skipping tonight's installment of HQ Trivia, tonight's show is being hosted by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to plug his new film Rampage.

Johnson is confident it will happen soon, saying they could be going into production in 2019. I look forward to James Wan's movie that's coming out, with Aquaman. Yet, with Johnson behind Black Adam - with all the charisma and gameness that comes with the versatile actor's recent filmography - his smiled assertion that "yeah, it's looking like 2019", seems like nothing but good news.

As such, the actor's next big project will find him entering into the DCEU as Shazam's nemesis Black Adam - a project that's been in the works for nearly a decade.

On finding the right tone: "It's this phenomenal opportunity for us to nail the tone and make sure he's badass".

Johnson's remarks here sound eerily familiar to something he told MTV News nearly a year ago to the day. "We have a very large contingency plan being over here because the due date is April 25, but mama Lauren, she's been having some Braxton Hicks I am on standby ready to jump on the plane".
