Anushka Sharma's Pari gains momentum at BO over weekend

Pari, starring Anushka Sharma was the most talked about film this holiday weekend as it was the first time where a horror movie was actually not promoted.

The film has gathered positive reviews from the critics and a pretty good word of mouth working for it as well. This is Anushka's third project as a producer after NH10 and Phillauri. The movie collected Rs 5.47 crore, thus bringing its collections to Rs 9.83 crore. The Team India skipper attended the special screening of his wife, Anushka Sharma's latest release, Pari. As the leading actress has huge fan following across the country, her film is expected to receive helm response from central and northern part of the country. The film also stars, Rajat Kapoor and Ritabhari Chakraborty in pivotal roles. Despite festive season, the movie failed to post big numbers in the opening weekend.

Also, the film had released with zero promotions. However, it has been better received by the audiences, as it was evident from the Box office collections on Saturday, as it made Rs 6 crore on day two, thus making the total to Rs 10 crores. On fifth day, the celluloid can earn up to Rs 2 crore only when it witnesses more than 5 % occupancy in the cinema halls and multiplexes situated across the nation. It earned around 3 crores.
