The Israeli army said a Palestinian stabbed a security guard at Karmi Tsur settlement near Halhoul, north of Hebron, before another guard shot him dead.
The incident comes after Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian teenager during an arrest raid in the village of Burqin in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian health officials said on Saturday.
The wounded man was evacuated to the Hadassah University Hospital in Ein Karem.
Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli forces killed a terrorist in the West Bank village of Yamoun and said he was the head of a cell responsible for an ambush in which an Israeli man was shot dead on January 9.
"The time has come for the recognition of the right of Jews in this land and time has come to build the Temple Mount", Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel said in the funeral of the settler, who was killed in a knife attack in the West Bank on Monday. He was said to be armed and was allegedly plotting other attacks.
Two Palestinians were killed during earlier raids which Israeli security services said were launched to find Shevach's killers.
Japan, which voted against the decision made by President Trump to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel at United Nations general assembly vote reportedly rejected Trump's recognition once more during the bilateral meeting.
Furthermore, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) has reported that Israeli soldiers abducted, overnight until dawn hours, at least 29 Palestinians, including one woman and several children, in various parts of the occupied West Bank.
Israeli settlements are seen as illegal under worldwide law and a major obstacle to peace as they are built on land the Palestinians see as part of their future state.
