Pistons C Drummond replaces Wall in NBA All-Star Game

"It's just unfortunate for our team".

The Pistons have lost eight straight to fall to No. 9 in the Eastern Conference.

"It's tough, obviously, for anybody who's lost somebody who's close to them and loves them", Wade said Tuesday.

He removed himself from the game immediately in the first quarter, received an X-ray, and was transported by auto back to Cleveland from Detroit after talking to his teammates at halftime, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Last night, the Pistons acquired Blake Griffin from the Los Angeles Clippers in a trade that shook up the status quo.

More than half the NBA's teams will be in action Wednesday night, including the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat, who now own the third and fourth seeds, respectively, in the Eastern Conference.

"I needed that, and everyone in the room needed that", Detroit coach Stan Van Gundy said. "It doesn't matter how". Last week was the eye of the storm during a players-only meeting two days after the Cavaliers were embarrassed by the Thunder, 148-124.

Love played only 4:41 and went scoreless.

The lineup change helped the Cavaliers win two straight before playing the Pistons on January 30.

Andre Drummond dominated the Cavaliers as he posted a monster double-double of 21 points and 22 rebounds on the night.

"I told him after the game that's the best I've seen him play", Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said. "He was aggressive on both ends, and while no one stops LeBron, he did a very good job against him".

Dwyane Wade returned to the Cavs after missing two games due to the death of his agent Henry "Hank" Thomas on Saturday and scored 18 points. I still got to worry about the game first, but now that the game's over, I'm definitely excited.

"He's definitely a father to me". The Pistons also had a 68-38 advantage in points in the paint.

The Cavaliers officially announced the injury during the game, saying that X-rays at Detroit's Little Caesars Arena showed a non-displaced fracture in the fifth metacarpal of Love's left hand. Reggie Bullock equaled his career high with 22 points. The Pistons outscored them 20-5 to start the third quarter and never trailed after that.
