The smartphone will be dubbed as Nokia 7 Plus and it has now appeared on benchmarking site Geekbench which has revealed the key specifications of the phone. It is also expected to feature a 3D glass on both sides and is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor.
The yesteryear launched Nokia 7 packed 4GB/6GB RAM and was priced at 2,499 Yuan (approximately Rs. 25,000) and 2,699 yuan (approximately Rs. 27,000) respectively. All these handsets have received Android Nougat but only Nokia 8 has tasted Oreo so far.
The phone achieved single-core benchmark score of 1636 and multi-core benchmark score of 5902.
It would have been better if we could have leak suggesting the Nokia 7 Plus display and camera specs but we will not have to wait for more because MWC event is just a couple of weeks away. HMD Global, the Finland-based company that makes these Nokia-branded handsets, has made good on its promise to have the update out for this device soon.
The new smartphone will have screen 18:9 with a thin frame and a diagonal probably 5.7 inches, although there is hope for all of 6 inches. The company is also expected to announce Nokia 7 for global markets which was launched last October in China. The amount of RAM remained at the level of 4 gigabytes, and the OS was upgraded to Android 8 Oreo, and Oreo, not to 8.1.
The smartphone is said to come with 4GB of RAM. Android Oreo will also optimize the smartphone to save battery. The device offers 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB by adding a microSD card.
