Has 'Red Dead Redemption 2' finally got an actual release date?

As Gameinformer points out, Coolshop previously leaked the launch date of Grand Theft Auto V and proved to be accurate. And now that same site has listed the release date for Red Dead Redemption II.

All of this needs to be taken with a huge grain of salt as Rockstar has not released any official information on the games release date. The good news is that a retailer has leaked Red Dead 2's release date and the bad news is that it's not going to be released anytime soon.

Now it looks like CoolShop, a Danish retailer, has possibly revealed the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date. Oftentimes retailers put up release dates for games so that they can start collecting pre-orders, and in the case of Red Dead Redemption 2 there is sure to be a lot of money made on pre-orders. Don't forget though, all this talk of Read Dead Redemption II's release date is all speculative at this point.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be the third instalment in the Red Dead franchise, following its 2010 predecessor and 2004's Red Dead Revolver, which was released two generations back on the Xbox and PlayStation 2. So this June release date could be for real. June 8th would still be considered spring even though it is a month more commonly associated with summer. Granted it was off by a few days at the time, but had the correct time frame according to popular gaming forum ResetEra.

A lot of the leaked release date's validity hinges on if this retailer really has an inside track, or if it just got lucky with Grand Theft Auto 5. However, Coolshop has a history of somewhat accurately leaking Rockstar games' release dates before the dates have been released to the public.
