Indian man arrested for allegedly molesting Zaira Wasim

Actor Zaira Wasim, who won hearts with her power-packed performances in Dangal and Secret Superstar, has alleged that she was molested on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai late on Saturday night. He is a family man and can never do such a thing.

Wasim said she did not notice his foot at first due to the turbulence of the flight, and that she also tried to film his behaviour but it was too dark. "He kept nudging my shoulder and continued to move his foot up and down my back and neck", the Kashmiri teen, who shot to fame for her stellar performance in Aamir Khan's blockbuster "Dangal", said in the video. She used her Instagram to speak about the incident.

Sachdev has been booked under section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of IPC, and relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) since the actor is a minor, Senior Police Inspector, Sahar, Lata Shirsat, was quoted by PTI.

She wrote on her Instagram, "So I was in a flight travelling from Delhi to Mumbai today and right behind me one middle-aged man who made my 2 hour journey miserable". This is awful."This is how they will take care of girls?" It continued for another 5-10 minutes and then I was sure of it. But because the cabin lights were dimmed, I failed to get it. "This is bad!" she said.

"This is awful. No one will help up if we don't decide to help ourselves".

Ms Wasim had accused the airline of not doing anything to help her when she raised the issue, but did not file an official complaint against them.

The Mumbai Police, which had summoned the accused for questioning, later placed the suspect under arrest. We have directed the Mumbai Police to look into the matter immediately. "Later, we were told that he was brought to the police station in connection with a molestation case", she claimed. However, the criticism being thrown at her shows that in some cases, every woman is equally disadvantaged.

Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, said that the incident was unfortunate and his ministry stands with the actor.

Vistara has apologized to the actress for what she experienced on its flight and said that it has "zero tolerance" for such behavior, assuring her of a detailed investigation into the serious allegations.
