"All tickets for the December 5 show will be honored for the rescheduled date".

Rock singer-songwriter John Mayer on Tuesday went into emergency surgery for removal of his appendix, forcing his band featuring former members of the Grateful Dead to postpone a show. Information on the rescheduled date will be announced as soon as possible.

In addition to another Dead & Company tour earlier this year, Mayer also released and toured an album of his own. "Should ticketholders choose to seek a refund, they will be available at point of purchase". Mayer is now in emergency surgery. The singer-guitarist was due to perform later that night at a concert with the Dead & Company, but that date has now been postponed.

NEW YORK (AP) - A rep for John Mayer says the musician is in "good spirits" after undergoing an emergency appendectomy.

John Mayer, who performed at the Forum on July, 30, 2017 in Inglewood, California, was hospitalized on Tuesday.

Dead & Company's next show - following the postponed New Orleans one - is scheduled for Orlando, Florida on Thursday.
