Blizzard Entertainment has announced World of Warcraft Classic, a new server option that allows players to revisit the original MMORPG.

Battle for Azeroth will see the removal of the Legion expansion's Artifact Weapons. That is going to change with Battle for Azeroth, and in a big way. The Alliance will be exploring the Kul'Tiras archipelago, while the Horde will be penetrating the jungle depths of Zandalar. Island Expeditions will be dynamic, variable missions which set players out in groups of three to explore uncharted areas and race against the enemy faction to secure resources.

There will also be new Allied Races, which you work to bring to your faction: Nightborne, Highmountain Tauren, and Zandalari Trolls for Horde, and Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei, and Dark Iron Dwarves for Alliance.

Charge Into the Warfronts: Fight on the battlefields of a large-scale, 20-player cooperative Warfront to claim a key strategic location. With the new continents of Kul Tiras and Zandalar, along with several islands that explorers can travel to at their leisure, the expansion features a new level cap of 120, along with series of new dungeons and raids to take part in. It starts with a siege in Lordaeron-Varian Wrynn leads the Allied forces in a fight against Sylvanas Windrunner and the Horde in a castle. After being gifted with legendary neck piece the Heart of Azeroth by Magni Bronzebeard, players will be able to use the new resource to customise the armour with new powers, abilities, traits and talents.

Infuse Your Armor with Titanic Might: Seek out Azerite, an invaluable new resource that has emerged in the Legion's wake.

Enter the raging conflict between the Horde and the Alliance prepared to survive on the front lines of a vicious new war. Share strategies with members of your class, fraternize with auction house magnates, talk shop with fellow tailors, and expand your social circles. Since the focus of the new expansion is the Alliance fighting the Horde, it will be up to players to make as many allies as possible to give their side an advantage in the upcoming war, and this will be done via quests.

The release date is not yet available, but it will be out sometime in 2018.
