A source told People magazine that while they had lost touch for a while, they were communicating again as Bieber was concerned about Gomez following her kidney transplant in September.

Meanwhile, eagle-eyed social media users have noticed that the Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) has unfollowed, among other Instagram accounts, Selena's mother, her BFF (and kidney donor) Francia Raisa, her assistant Theresa Mingus, and various #Abelena fan accounts, as well as removing and deleting other traces (likes, posts) of his now-ex.

As for how The Weeknd feels about the situation, a source told E! To calm the "Starboy" singer's nerves, Gomez assured him that Bieber and her were simply "just friends". The famous ex-lovebirds attended church together and were photographed by TMZ Sunday grabbing a breakfast of blueberry smoothies at a cafe in Westlake Village.

And on Monday, Selena Gomez couldn't have looked happier about things. Gomez said that the panic attacks and anxiety she has suffered over the years are linked to her lupus.

Selena Gomez may be considering getting back together with Justin Bieber after her split from The Weeknd.

But "Justin always had her heart and attention", the source said.

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd split up because they couldn't deal with the "distance" between them.

Bieber himself has stayed pretty quiet on this one.so we'll just have to wait and see how it pans out.

As Justin and Selena's hectic relationship throughout the years has made waves across the news, it's clear fans have some thoughts about them reuniting. Per the source, Hadid predicted the breakup a while back, and was actually friends with Gomez before she started dating her ex. According to People, Selena and The Weeknd have been discussing the end of their relationship for a few months, and while she and Bieber are nothing more than platonic, that old saying about couples who pray together and stay together rings louder and louder in the ears of "Jelena" hopefuls each day.
