The People Behind Infamous Are Making A Samurai Game

When the Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, you take up arms as the last surviving samurai to push them out of your homeland. Given that Sucker Punch's previous games have all been third-person action games and platformers, we'd imagine Ghost of Tsushima will follow a similar formula. Ghost of Tsushima will also feature an open world.

In this trailer, which is set in Tsushima in Japan, we can see some graphically flawless scenes from Japan everyday life building up to a scene where the narrator asks the protagonist if he surrenders. These are all speculations though depending on what we see, so we must wait for more information by Sony.

Sucker Punch, the studio behind Infamous and Sly Cooper, has announced a new game. Players will have to use unconventional methods while fighting, abandoning their samurai traditions in the process. Of course, there isn't really much to go on beyond this initial footage that was revealed at Paris Games Week. Sony acquired Sucker Punch on August 2, 2011.

Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima has no release date, but we do know it will come to PS4 eventually.

Despite the inclusion of trailers for many well-known IPs coming in 2018, Ghosts of Tsushima may have just jumped a few of the ones on my list of games I want to play!
