As per reports, the accident happened near Delhi's Minto Bridge when engine and power vehicle of Ranchi Rajdhani Express derailed. The Central Railway spokesperson told PTI, that two wagons of a goods train derailed near Khandala, registering it as the third train accident reported in the country today.
One person was injured when the engine and power auto of the Delhi-Ranchi Rajdhani derailed at 11:45 am as it was approaching the Delhi railway station, said Neeraj Sharma, Northern Railways spokesperson.
This is the fourth incident of derailment in less than a month.
In less than 6 hours of a derailment of Howrah-Jabalpur Shaktipunj Express, Ranchi Rajdhani Express derailed in Delhi on Thursday.
Surprisingly not even a single injury or death is reported.
On September 3, four loaded wagons of a goods train derailed near Hardattpur railway station on Saturday. All the passengers were reported to be safe and no one was injured in the incident.
This comes just when the Indian Railways is already facing a lot of heat for repeated incidents of derailment. It can be recalled on August 19, the Utkal Express had derailed in Muzaffarnagar district.
