Chris Pratt And Anna Faris Split Reportedly Triggered By Differing Family Views

Earlier this week, the world was saddened to hear that our favourite amusing pair Anna Faris and Chris Pratt had announced they were separating after eight years of marriage. "Our son (Jack) has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward", the statement read.

In a 2014 interview with Esquire magazine Pratt said he met Faris in 2007 on the set of the film "Take Me Home Tonight", in which they both featured. They share a 5-year-old son, Jack.

Anna Faris and Chris Pratt split after 8 years of marriage.

Anna opened up about falling for the Guardians of the Galaxy star, telling James Corden in 2015 it all came down to dead bugs to make her see she'd met her ideal match.

Speaking back in late April at his Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony, he said: "I want to thank my wife Anna, I love you. (Power and terror are acceptable in a partner but absolutely necessary in a mother, as far as I'm concerned)", Pratt wrote in the first pages of Faris' book.

The actors, who have two children together, have shared the big screen throughout their time together.

One rumored reason that the famed thespians called it quits is that they wanted different things out of their family lives.

Faris, 40, admitted she was jealous when her husband kissed his co-stars for films, Entertainment Weekly wrote Monday, citing the book.

Heartbreakingly, Anna also lists the fantastic things her husband does for her - including sending flowers to her workplace every Friday and braiding her hair.

They also said there were other personal reasons for the split, but their view on family in the long-term was a major factor in their decision.

A similar post was put up on Anna's Twitter account. Refreshingly, Farris reveals that she does get pangs of jealously (as would most), but rather than letting herself become affected by those scenes and surrounding media coverage - like Pratt and JLaw's sex scene in Passengers for example - she befriends the other person to dispel the doubts. They will project their own fantasies, biases and prejudices onto these people purely because they are in the public eye - it's just what we do with famous people.
