Amy Schumer to Make Her Broadway Debut in Steve Martin's Play

Schumer will lead a cast of fellow amusing people, including Keegan-Michael Key (of "Key & Peele" fame, who is performing in an Off-Broadway run of "Hamlet" alongside Oscar Isaac), Alan Tudyk ("Firefly") and Tony Award victor Laura Benanti ("Gypsy").

Amy has been cast as Corky, with Alan Tudyk playing her husband Norm, while Laura Benanti and funnyman Keegan-Michael Key will portray the visiting couple, Laura and Gerald.

Meteor Shower will also mark Key's first Broadway production, after previously taking to the stage in the Off-Broadway rendition of Hamlet. "He is my friend and I just love him and can't believe I get to be in his play on BROADWAY!" Jerry Zaks, a multi-Tony victor, directs.

Meteor Shower will run for 12 weeks at New York's Booth Theatre.

Emmy Award-winner Schumer, who scored a hit with her 2015 comedy "Trainwreck", will star in the upcoming multigenerational-family comedy-drama "She Came to Me" with Steve Carell and Nicole Kidman.

Comedy icon Martin, who turns 72 on August 14, was nominated for Tony Awards for the book and the music of the 2016 musical "Bright Star".

The play ran for the first time at The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, California in 2016, later migrating to the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. And when I started to think about who everybody is [in the play], that's when it got worthy.

Meteor Shower is set to debut on November 29th, although there will be previews available starting on November 1st.

Schumer is also set to star in the movie I Feel Pretty alongside Emily Ratajkowski, where she'll play a normal woman who falls and wakes up thinking she's the most lovely and capable woman alive.
