Firefighters kill snake that was biting woman's face

The above video displays at least two minutes of the 3-minute, 50-second 911 call, with the woman sounding distressed.

To the dispatcher's credit, she tries her best to calm down the understandably frightened victim.

On Thursday, the woman who has not been identified by name, made a frantic call to 911.

A firefighter from OH eventually had to cut the head off the woman's "pet" because it just wouldn't let go of her face.

A firefighter cut off the snake's head with a pocket knife and the woman was taken by ambulance to a hospital for apparent non-life threatening injuries, reported the Elyria Star-Telegram.

She claimed there was blood everywhere, apparently from the bite.

Card said officers later disposed of the boa constrictor in a garbage bin close to City Hall.

The woman declined an on camera interview. All of her snakes - including nine ball pythons and the boa constrictor that wasn't wrapped around her face - were put away. At another point, she says, "I don't even know what".

When first responders arrived at the scene they found the woman lying on her driveway with the snake wrapper around her body.

The drama began when the unnamed woman placed a frantic 911 call to emergency services about 2pm local time.

The woman then proceeded to give her address and told the operator that she had just rescued the snake the day previous.

"Obviously he had to destroy the snake, but he had no other choice", Bring said.
