BCCI extends time limit for India coach candidates

Not quite directed to anybody as such, the Instagram photo posted on Friday, suddenly got viral and speculations were made that he apparently took an indirect dig at Kumble as the latter had pointed fingers at Kohli, saying the Team India "Captain had reservations with my "style" and about my continuing as the Head Coach". There is a strong possibility that Kohli and his dirty brigade purposely lost the game to instigate Anil Kumble with whom the former had serious differences.

Kumble who was supposed to travel with the team to West Indies did not board the flight on Tuesday and later that day he officially resigned from his post.

Some reports also revealed that Kohli insulted and abused coach Kumble two days before the final of the ICC Champions Trophy, 2017.

"(He) has expressed his views and taken a decision to step out. "We learn from every loss", Kohli stressed and added that the team learns from victories too.

The final shortlist will be then sent to the three-man cricket advisory committee comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, who will conduct interviews before sending their final choice to the BCCI.

Prasanna talked about MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh's role in the team and suggested that the selectors need to look beyond and search out for some young talent. Whatmore allayed those fears and reckoned that a good coach can have a positive impact on Indian cricket team.

On the other hand, people were also seen questioning Kumble for failing in man management and addressing the grievances of the cricketers, which led to widening the gap.

Kumble we all know is a tough task master, a disciplinarian to the core and cricketer with utmost respect. All the years he has played, there is no taking away from that aspect of him at all. After Kumble-Kohli fiasco, it is CAC's duty that they make sure no such thing happens in future.

Kumble was appointed coach in June 2016 for a one-year term by the CAC and was instantly successful. He went on to talk about how he would never break the sanctity of the changing room and said, "What happens in change room is something sacred & private to all of us, something that I wouldn't express in detail in public". "Now, we have some mature players and Dhoni is also there to help them, even Virat is also there", Sharma told ANI.
