Director Patty Jenkins On Criticism Of Wonder Woman's "Sexy, Skimpy" Costume

Just the knowledge that we were doing Wonder Woman's story, solo, a movie that a lot of people had been trying to get off the ground for over 20 years, and she is one of the pop culture icons, so there was a lot of pressure on us to do it correctly. Her first appearance as Princess Diana of Themyscira (Wonder Woman's real name) came in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in 2016.

"Wonder Woman", the latest in a series of Warner Bros. movies based on DC Comics characters, stars Gal Gadot in the title role and opens Thursday. And finally on Wonder Woman we had the chance to go and dig deep, and really establish this attractive character...

May is nearly at an end, which means we're pretty close to the release of Wonder Woman.

"I went into it asking, 'What is the potential that we have with Wonder Woman?".

While this did break the routine questions mongering about the Wonder Woman release and Justice League, reporters couldn't stop from asking the actress what her role looks like in Justice League. While this voice isn't voiced by Gal Gadot, it's still a cool skin.

One thing is for sure: Gadot will go down in history as a distinctly Israeli actress. In an interview with Screen Rant, Nielsen says she and Jenkins "basically spoke the same language from day one", and what was meant to be an hour meeting between between the two stretched out to four.

Wonder Woman starts this coming Friday, 2nd June 2017, and will be available in 3D at IMAX. "She's all about truth and love and equality and compassion". And Chris is proving just how wonderful he is.

Many actresses were considered for the coveted part, but Jenkins says that none was more ideal than Gadot. She's supernaturally lovely and unbelievably kind and thoughtful and intelligent and wise, yet bright and youthful and hopeful.

Were you surprised by how much people fell in love with Wonder Woman after Dawn of Justice? While many still deem it to be quite skimpy, I didn't get the same sense, especially when you consider their upbringing on an island inhabited exclusively by women, as well as an armour for women that's supposed to provide a lot more freedom of movement.
