Tom Brady drives the new 2017 Aston Martin DB11, a vehicle that's both stunningly powerful and lovely.
The Globe's top picks for what to see and do each weekend, in Boston and beyond.
As a man with a famously fastidious diet, whose wife is outspoken on environmental issues, you'd be forgiven for thinking New England quarterback Tom Brady was among the Prius and Tesla-driving celebrity set.
"Tom is an inspirational leader and athlete who is clearly aligned with our view of Aston Martin", said Aston Martin VP & Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman. "His performances on the football field - not just recently but throughout his career - are an inspiration for us all".
In addition, Aston Martin said Brady will "curate" his own version of the company's new Vanquish S -- a 580 horsepower coupe with a base price of more than $300,000. Brady will pitch the DB11, which retails for a cool $211,995. Though he's said in the past he doesn't care much for driving, it seems nearly no one can resist an Aston Martin. Only 12, the same number as Brady's jersey, will be made and available for the public to buy.
According to Rovell, Aston Martin usually manufactures just 4,000 cars a year, less than 1,000 of which are sold in the United States.
