Do you think President-elect Donald Trump should repeal Obamacare?

With the recent dismantling of the Kentucky health care exchange, Kynect, Kentucky residents must now use the federal Health Insurance Marketplace, HealthCare.gov, to purchase insurance.

Hillary Clinton said she felt "pride and gratitude" for her campaign on Wednesday morning, hours after her shocking defeat at the hands of Donald Trump. Despite resistance to an entire repeal, Trump said his repeal-and-replace plan is a priority under his administration.

And then finally I tell them, you know, the law is still in place today, so go and get coverage that meets your needs, still go out and find coverage that makes sense for you and your family. "That working assumption is now no longer operative". As a small-business owner in NY summed up, "Anyone who is on these plans knows it's a two-tiered system".

President-elect Trump interviewed more than a dozen candidates for his administration at his New Jersey golf club over the weekend, including Mitt Romney, Rudy Guliani, Chris Christie and Kansas secretary of state Kris Kobach, who has been tough on immigration, and others. "We didn't have a Plan B". But recipients of insurance under the law may feel more immediate impacts if their insurers leave the exchange in the coming year.

Al Gobeille, the chairman of the Green Mountain Care Board, thinks some states offered lower rates at the outset of the Affordable Care Act to attract more consumers. Could new healthcare policy actually increase the number of uninsured children?

But repealing the law without a replacement is likely to spook health insurers, who might bolt from the markets prematurely to avoid losses as some people stop paying their premiums, while other people rush to have expensive medical procedures before losing coverage. "What's going to happen now?"

He promised to join with Republicans in Congress to dump the program immediately.

"He's talking about keeping young people on their parents insurance up to the age of 26". That's because the industry will be less at risk of the price controls that Democrats were vowing to try to impose.

Voters have made it crystal clear that Obamacare has failed them.

Doreena Wong, a project director at the Los Angeles-based nonprofit Asian Americans Advancing Justice, said consumers already are expressing doubts on whether they should bother enrolling. Abolish the crumbling Obamacare exchanges. They will receive the tax credit in advance for their insurance premiums.

He stated that under Trump Medicaid would not be expanded in Georgia. In fact, ever-increasing charges became one big reason for insurance costs to continue to increase.

The proposed changes extend beyond the health law.

President Richard Nixon and President Ronald Reagan had plans that included some of the principles in the ACA. But their budget plans have kept Social Security, the Pentagon, veterans programs and interest payments immune from cuts, so they've doubled down on cuts to the Medicaid health program for the poor and disabled, along with cuts to domestic programs like education, farm subsidies, housing vouchers and scientific research. With numbers that high, some of these people are bound to feel confused, overwhelmed, and frustrated when shopping for health coverage.

Nothing on health care is bound to change right away. At that point, Republicans will encounter numerous tough choices Democrats struggled with while writing the landmark 2010 health law.

I commend Sen. Joe Manchin for calling for reform of the Affordable Care Act rather than repeal (W.Va. reps to seek repeal of EPA rules, ACA, Nov. 10). "How do we fund it?" You know, it really doesn't take much speculation. But she said it only works if there are enough healthy people in the insurance pool to spread the cost.

The reality is that Republicans on Capitol Hill and the Trump team see that their own heads could roll. "They have no idea about the subtleties". Therefore, surprise Trump victory does not change firm's opinion regarding ACA amendment, but only alters the path taken. In 2014, health care spending went up by 4.8 percent. The Affordable Care Act remains unpopular overall but contains several very popular individual elements that over 20 million newly insured people will not want to lose.

Ginsburg predicts that Trump might apply his marketing skills to health reform. Be sure to do your homework and ask lots of questions, and if you choose an ACA plan, make sure that you apply by December 15 for coverage beginning January 1. "There will be rebranding, but a lot of the elements will remain".

Last tax season, Eller was fined close to $800 for not having health insurance. It is an editorially independent program of the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation.
