Why Nexus 6P Owners Should Avoid Pixel XL

They were the most affordable option for consumers wanting to get the direct and prompt Android software updates from Google.

During a press event Tuesday, Google executives showed off a series of gadgets in rapid succession. Google's Nexus phones may have never been a huge hit for Google, but for those that bought them, one of the main selling points was they didn't come with any bloatware.

Seamless updates work by creating two partitions on the device. Verizon, which has a carrier exclusive on the phones, will invest its own money in TV ads, internet marketing, social media, and more.

The conformation that the forthcoming Pixel and Pixel XL handsets will be available for purchase from Verizon has come via a statement released by Google to 9to5Google.

Pixel features a 12.3-megapixel camera, featuring the f/2.0 aperture and 1.55-micron pixel. "Our goal is to build a personal Google for each and every user", Pichai said during the event. Whatever you need to be done, ask Google Assistant to do it first.

First, here's what Google has said on the topic.

Mario Queiroz, Google's VP of Product Management, didn't reveal how much money the company will spend on advertising the Pixel but did tell Reuters a "very significant marketing campaign" is in motion. Google, it seems, is taking some big steps into taking over your home so no matter where you are, you'll be able to get answers to questions, complete online orders or play music.

It is far more intelligent than Google Now, which can only pull up search results from Google.

Google have announced the Pixel XL and Pixel phones, so we may be about to say goodbye to the Nexus brand. Even so, this is relatively cheap when you compare the 6P against the predecessors. According to an Android 7.1 Nougat changelog, there are a number of features that will remain exclusive to the Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones. Google Assistant is the company's answer to similar concierge services from rivals, including Siri, Amazon's Alexa and Microsoft's Cortana.

On the bright side, Google retains control of security. A $79 head accessory lets you insert the phone and turn it into a full-on VR headset.
